Monthly Product Update | June, July and August 2026

The last three months have been some of our busiest yet for DJ Teams.

Across June, July and August, we've been shipping updates continuously, often with multiple releases in the same week and occasionally two or three in a single day. Behind the scenes, even more has been happening, including a few projects that aren't quite ready to see the light of day just yet.

The result is one of our biggest product updates so far, with major additions including Workflows and Automations, custom fields, a new Reports Builder, our Plugin Marketplace, improved notifications, Zoom integration, and much more.

Here's what's new.

⚡ Introducing Workflows & Automations

One of the biggest additions over the summer is the introduction of Workflows and Automations.

DJ Teams can now automate repetitive processes throughout your business, with more than 100 triggers and 50 actions available.

Workflows can be:

  • Created from scratch
  • Started from pre-built templates
  • Built with the help of AI
  • Triggered automatically when something happens
  • Started manually when needed

Automations can handle tasks such as sending emails and SMS messages, creating tasks, updating records, scheduling follow-ups, and much more.

We've also added workflow tracking directly to leads and bookings, so you can see which workflows are running and what actions they have completed.

Activities created by workflows are clearly identified within the activity timeline, making it easier to distinguish automated activity from actions performed manually.

🌿 More Powerful Workflow Branching

We've continued expanding the workflow designer since launch.

Branches can now be named and cloned along with their child actions, making larger workflows much faster to create and easier to understand.

We've also made a number of improvements to the workflow editor and its reliability, particularly when working with larger workflows and more complex branching.

🧩 Custom Fields for Leads & Contacts

Every DJ business records slightly different information, so we've introduced custom fields for leads and contacts.

You can now create fields using a range of different data types, including:

  • Text
  • Numbers
  • Currency
  • Dates and times
  • Multiple choice options
  • Addresses
  • Files
  • Phone numbers
  • URLs

Custom fields aren't limited to simply storing extra information.

They are integrated throughout DJ Teams and can be used when:

  • Creating and editing records
  • Importing and exporting data
  • Filtering and sorting
  • Building forms
  • Creating questionnaires
  • Personalising contracts
  • Creating email templates

This makes it possible to adapt DJ Teams much more closely to the information your business actually needs to collect and manage.

📊 Build Your Own Reports

Following the introduction of customisable dashboards earlier this year, we've expanded reporting further with the new Reports Builder.

You can now create reusable reports by choosing exactly which information and fields you want to include.

Once created, reports can be saved and run again whenever required.

Reports can also be scheduled for automatic delivery by email, making it possible to regularly send important information to yourself or other members of your team without manually generating the report each time.

🧩 Introducing the Plugin Marketplace

We've launched the new DJ Teams Plugin Marketplace.

Plugins allow us to introduce optional features and integrations without adding unnecessary complexity for businesses that don't need them.

From the marketplace, you can:

  • Discover available plugins
  • Install and configure plugins
  • Manage existing integrations
  • Request new plugins
  • Tell us how you'd like new integrations to work with DJ Teams

💌 Cardly Integration

The first plugin available through the marketplace is Cardly.

By connecting your Cardly account, you can send personalised physical cards using information stored within DJ Teams.

Cards can be personalised using contact and workflow information, and can either be sent automatically or held for approval so you can review a private preview before the order is placed.

Combined with Workflows and Automations, this opens up options such as automatically sending thank-you cards after an event, anniversary cards, or other personalised customer communications.

🔔 Better Notifications

We've completely overhauled how notifications are managed.

A new notification settings area allows you to choose which notifications you want to receive and how you receive them.

We've also introduced browser and push notifications, allowing DJ Teams to notify you directly on supported laptops and mobile devices.

For users who prefer fewer individual alerts, we've added a new daily round-up email, delivered each morning at 8am with a summary of outstanding activity requiring your attention.

SMS notifications have also been improved. When a new text message arrives, DJ Teams can now alert you within the app and link you directly to the relevant contact, lead, or booking.

🎥 Zoom Integration

DJ Teams can now connect directly with Zoom.

Once your Zoom account is connected through System Settings, Zoom meetings can be created when arranging meetings without needing to leave DJ Teams.

We've also integrated Zoom with public availability forms.

If a customer books an online meeting through an availability form, DJ Teams can automatically create the Zoom meeting and include the joining details within the invitation.

🎨 The New Contact & Lead Experience

During our previous update, the redesigned contact and lead pages were available in beta.

We've continued refining them throughout the summer and have now moved all users onto the new V2 contact and lead experience by default.

The new interface provides clearer navigation, improved access to actions and communications, and a better experience across different screen sizes.

For anyone who still needs it, the classic layout remains available for the time being.

We've also reorganised the main DJ Teams navigation to make the growing number of features easier to find.

🚀 A New Onboarding Experience

New DJ Teams users will now see a completely redesigned onboarding and setup process.

As the platform has expanded, getting a new workspace configured correctly has become increasingly important.

The new onboarding experience provides a clearer introduction to the key areas of DJ Teams and helps businesses get their workspace ready before they begin managing live enquiries and bookings.

💳 Payments, Refunds & Invoices

We've made several improvements to financial management.

Recording invoice payments is now quicker, with an improved payment form and a new shortcut for marking an invoice as paid in full.

We've also made refunds much more flexible.

Payments can now be refunded without cancelling the entire booking, while refunds created during a booking cancellation are processed immediately and linked back to the original payment.

Contracts also have additional personalisation options for financial information, including:

  • Deposit
  • Balance
  • Amount due

We've also added discount information directly to quote and invoice line items and introduced a configurable default deposit amount for new leads.

📄 Contracts Without Portal Access

Contracts can now be accessed using a secure link without requiring the customer to log into the customer portal.

This gives businesses more flexibility when sending contracts while maintaining secure access to the document.

We've also improved the portal experience for customers who have more than one enquiry or booking.

Customers can now switch between their different events from inside the portal rather than needing separate sessions or links.

📍 Improved Venue Handling on Public Forms

We've added more control over how venues appear on customer-facing forms.

Individual venues can now be marked as available or unavailable publicly.

When adding a venue field to a public form, customers can search your list of public venues while still having the option to enter another venue if you allow it.

If your workspace doesn't have any public venues configured, DJ Teams automatically falls back to the existing free-text venue field.

📅 Meetings & Follow-ups

Meeting management continues to expand throughout the CRM.

Meetings can now be created against contacts in addition to leads and bookings.

Follow-up reminders have also been improved, including:

  • Adding notes when creating a follow-up
  • Creating follow-up reminders directly when sending SMS messages

These smaller changes help keep future actions and conversations connected to the relevant customer record.

📧 Email & Communication Improvements

We've made a number of improvements to email and communication tools.

Email tracking can now be disabled individually from the email composer, giving you more control over which messages are tracked.

We've also prevented links contained within email signatures from being tracked, helping keep tracking data focused on the links that actually matter.

Email account setup is now more forgiving too. If the setup process is interrupted, it can be resumed rather than restarted, and we've added additional protection against accidentally closing the setup window.

We've also continued refining email formatting and personalisation to improve consistency between the email composer, sent messages, and communication history.

🎵 Playlist Improvements

We've made several changes to make playlists more accessible.

In the new lead and booking experience, Playlists have been promoted into the primary navigation rather than sitting within Documents.

Customers can also now remove songs from their playlists directly through the customer portal.

These changes are part of our continued work to make music management easier for both DJs and customers.

📋 Questionnaire Improvements

Viewing completed questionnaire responses is now quicker.

Questionnaires displayed against leads and bookings can be clicked directly to open and review the customer's responses.

We've also corrected several navigation behaviours around questionnaires and their associated bookings.

📊 Dashboard Improvements

Our customisable dashboards have continued to evolve since their launch earlier this year.

Widgets can now be cloned, making it much faster to create similar reports or views with slightly different configurations.

We've also introduced custom filtering across dashboard widgets, giving you much more control over exactly which data each widget displays.

⚡ Everyday Improvements

Alongside the headline features, we've shipped a large number of smaller improvements throughout DJ Teams.

These include:

  • Improved mobile and tablet navigation
  • Easier access to global search on smaller screens
  • Improved date fields, including typing dates directly
  • Clearer links within the rich-text editor
  • More reliable exports when filters are applied
  • Improved resource handling
  • Alphabetically ordered email, SMS, contract, and questionnaire templates
  • Improved communication controls within leads and bookings
  • More resilient email account setup
  • Numerous interface improvements across the new contact and lead experience

A significant amount of work has also gone into background processing and general platform stability as DJ Teams continues to grow.

🛠️ Reliability & Bug Fixes

Alongside new functionality, we've continued resolving issues across payments, workflows, emails, invoices, questionnaires, customer portals, and the wider CRM.

Updates during June, July, and August included improvements to:

  • Workflow editing, branching, and task scheduling
  • Email template personalisation
  • SMS delivery status and notifications
  • Payment and invoice assignment
  • Invoice previews and customer information
  • Document links within outgoing emails
  • Customer portal navigation
  • Email formatting and paragraph spacing
  • Navigation on smaller screens
  • Dashboard configuration reliability
  • Contract personalisation
  • Booking cancellation refunds

As always, many of these fixes come directly from reports and feedback from businesses using DJ Teams every day.

🔮 What's Coming Next

We're already close to releasing a completely new equipment management feature, giving businesses more tools for managing equipment, availability, maintenance, and event allocations.

We're also preparing to expand communications with new social messaging channels, including WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and Instagram.

And there's plenty more already in development.

As always, you can view the full change log at any time by clicking the version number in the DJ Teams sidebar.

If you haven't tried DJ Teams yet, you can start a free trial or request a demo.

And remember, DJ Teams is free until the end of 2026.
