What is DJ Teams?

This month, we’re putting the finishing touches to our marketing campaign. While you might recognise the name DJ Teams, you may not be entirely sure what it actually is. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be telling you all about it.

For the past three years, as we’ve been testing our theory behind the scenes, we’ve also been sharing weekly charts on our Facebook page. But DJ Teams is so much more than just music.

It is a powerful CRM platform that helps you manage your workflow, reduce admin, and save time. It has also been designed to save you money. You will not need multiple subscriptions to event planning software such as Mailchimp or Crate Hackers because DJ Teams brings these tools together in one place. For a single price, you can manage enquiries and build email campaigns that keep you in your clients’ inboxes until they are ready to book.

All of these features are secondary to our primary focus: the music. After all, we are DJs and that is what matters most.

Music That Matters

DJ Teams enables your customers to make confident music choices through a “dating-style” playlist builder, powered by data from thousands of real events. This gives clients confidence when booking and creates strong social proof through positive reviews, which helps your business grow.

Our Playlist Builder is currently in beta testing. It automatically creates crates in your DJ software based on your client’s do, don’t and maybe plays for each event. Gathering music guidance from clients will no longer be a headache. You can set natural limits on how many songs they can select, although in most cases you will find their choices are songs you already play.

As more DJs use DJ Teams, it becomes easier to identify emerging music trends, including the revival of older songs. We are already a quarter of the way into the 21st century, and many wedding couples became musically aware in the early 2000s. Our Resources Library helps you adapt your sound to match what your audience really wants to hear.

Smart Music Suggestions with “Options”

We are also developing Options, our smart recommendation engine. Options will suggest what to play next based on what other DJs have successfully mixed after a given track. Think of it as a more contextual version of Spotify. It will be particularly useful if you are working with genres you are less familiar with, such as modern country.

Real Client Insights

The biggest contribution DJ Teams makes is the experience it creates for your clients. One of the ways we are exploring this is through focus groups. These allow us to collect shared experiences and feedback from couples who have used DJ Teams to shape their music.

We have sat down with several couples to talk about their journey, from choosing their songs to how they felt after their party. Their behavioural insights are going to be an eye-opener for many DJs. Subscribers will soon have access to this exclusive content.

We have also spoken to early adopters about the benefits they have experienced using the platform. You will start seeing some of these conversations in our upcoming marketing campaigns.

Join the Journey

We will soon be appearing on your feed a lot, and we are not sorry about it. We believe we have plenty to shout about and would love you to join us for the ride.
